Moissanite is silicon carbide, grown in a lab. It is a gemstone in its own right — not a coating, not glass, not cubic zirconia — and the hardest gem after diamond among those used in fine jewelry.
Why moissanite
Moissanite bends light more than diamond (refractive index 2.65–2.69 vs 2.42) and splits it into colour more than twice as strongly. Expect bright, rainbow-flecked fire — especially in sunlight.
At 9.25 on the Mohs scale it resists scratching far better than cubic zirconia, and it won't cloud or lose its sparkle with age.
Because it is lab-grown, moissanite costs a fraction of a mined diamond of similar size — which is how a fully set piece in solid silver stays within reach.
| Moissanite | Diamond | Cubic zirconia | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hardness (Mohs) | 9.25 | 10 | 8–8.5 |
| Refractive index | 2.65–2.69 | 2.42 | 2.15–2.18 |
| Dispersion (fire) | 0.104 | 0.044 | 0.058–0.066 |
| Origin | Lab-grown | Mined or lab-grown | Synthetic |
Moissanite is not diamond, and we never sell it as one. It is a different gemstone with a different look up close — more coloured fire — and we think that's the point.
Built to be worn
Wear it daily. The stones won't scratch or fade. The silver is real, which means it behaves like real silver: it can pick up fine scratches and will slowly darken with air, moisture and skin oils. Both are easy to manage.
Swimming (chlorine and salt water), showers, the gym, sleep, and cleaning with household chemicals.
After lotion, perfume and hair products — they dull silver and coat the stones.
Warm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft toothbrush behind the stones. Rinse and dry completely. A silver polishing cloth brings the metal back.
Ultrasonic cleaners, bleach, toothpaste and abrasive polishes. They can scratch the silver or loosen settings.
Dry, on its own, in its box or a sealed pouch, so stones don't scratch other pieces and air doesn't tarnish the silver.
Close it until it clicks. If it ever feels loose, stop wearing it and contact us.

Yes. It is solid .925 sterling silver: 92.5% pure silver with 7.5% other metal, usually copper, for strength. It is not plated brass and not silver-filled.
Yes. The stones are genuine moissanite (silicon carbide), a lab-grown gemstone — not cubic zirconia, crystal or glass. This piece ships with a GRA certificate for its moissanite.
On a standard thermal diamond tester, usually yes: moissanite conducts heat much like diamond, so those testers typically read it as diamond. A multi-tester that also checks electrical conductivity, or any trained jeweler, will identify it as moissanite. We sell it as moissanite, never as diamond.
The moissanite won't tarnish, cloud or lose its sparkle. Sterling silver naturally darkens over time with air, moisture, sweat and some cosmetics. Regular wear, wiping it after use and storing it dry slow this down; a silver polishing cloth brings the shine back.
Yes — it's made to be worn. For the longest life, take it off for swimming, showering, the gym and sleep, and put it on after lotion and perfume.
Yes. This piece includes a GRA certificate for its moissanite. GRA reports are the standard paperwork for moissanite; they are not the same as a GIA diamond report.
Soak briefly in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap, brush gently behind the stones with a soft toothbrush, rinse and dry completely with a lint-free cloth. Use a silver polishing cloth on the metal. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, bleach, toothpaste and abrasive polishes.
Lengths are measured end to end, clasp included. Measure your wrist snugly and add 1.5–2 cm for a comfortable bracelet fit. The size finder on this page recommends a length from your measurement.
